Sharing a room with Paul

As a youngster Paul was not the most hygienic, nor a particularly fussy person when it came to his surroundings. As someone who was particularly anal about having a tidy bedroom it used to drive me insane when Paul left his "half of the room" in such a state that it used to keep me awake at night! Even worse were the half eaten tins of Corned Beef under his bed, usually with abandoned forks stuck in them. After a while you would become aware of a putrid smell that grew progressively worse over the weeks and could not be attributed to his feet (especially during a warm summer, such as 1977!). I'm sure my Mum must have wondered where all the forks were dissapearing to. Still, I never realised at the time but I loved my wee brother more than I appreciated. We used to stay awake for hours on end at night playing stupid games, feeding off each others imagination. I always thought that Paul was far more intelligent and streetwise than I could ever be, and I was right. Miss you like hell wee brother and love you so much. Wherever you are I hope that you are OK and please keep visiting me in my dreams 'cause it gives me reassurance that you are well. Watching you pass away was the worst time of my life. See you again some day (just keep your side of the room tidy!!!!!)
